Dez Boheme is a Kiwi American singer-songwriter and producer residing in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, USA. Vibing with a modern arc on storytelling, DEZ BOHEME sheds light on the human condition through creative expression. His sound has an Indie folk & alt-pop feel adapting modern storytelling arcs to songs. His themes center around more often than not, uncomfortable aspects of the human condition and relationships thought about but not always expressed. All told from the point of view of the triumph of the human spirit, it's enduring qualities, along with the irony and sometimes humor of it all.

DEZ BOHEME’s soulful vocals, and rich acoustic guitar textures create a signature sound that resonates with singer-songwriter, Indie-folk & pop genres.

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, and a naturalized citizen of the United States of America, DEZ BOHEME was previously known as emerging Neo-Folk artist Anton Ryan. In the late 90's while performing and recording demo's in the inner city music scene of Sydney, Australia, gaining local press and notoriety, he caught the attention of  labels and veteran music mogul
John Woodruff  (Savage Garden, The Baby Animals, Icehouse, The Angels, Cold Chisel). Soon after, he moved to the United States. He continued to perform during most of the 2000's, mainly solo acoustic shows at local Venues in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, the Midwest, and Hollywood, CA where he resided for more than a decade (The Rainbow Room, The Kibitz Room, Harvard and Stone, The Turf Club...).

In 2018, after a long hiatus, bootlegs of his SBS recording sessions (Sydney, Australia) with drummer Mark Kennedy (Men at Work, Marcia Hines, Jimmy Barnes)and bassist Chris Bailey (The Angels, Ganggajang) resurfaced reigniting DEZ’s passion for composing and performing again.

By late-2019 BOHEME had amassed a large catalog of new material. He racked up several solo gigs at local venues such as The Silver Lake Lounge , Bar 20 on Sunset Boulevard, and The Falls Lounge...performing alongside popular local artists. During COVID he started recording & producing music out of his home studio, "The Alcove Room," where he regularly broadcasts solo acoustic performances and social media content while releasing new material.

Coming of age as a musical artist later in life, writing and recording his best work,

Dez B say's “...it's funny because I didn't know what to expect after such a long hiatus."
